Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wanderprint (“Wanderprint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit thewanderprint.com (the “Site”), design a poster, or place an order. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address through our authentication provider, Clerk. We do not store your account password ourselves.
- Trip and design data. The content you create while designing a poster, such as trip titles, destinations, stops, map styles, and captions.
- Uploaded photos. The images you upload for your design, which are stored in secure cloud storage so we can display them in the editor and print them.
- Order and shipping information. The shipping address and contact details you provide so your order can be produced and delivered.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly; Wanderprint never sees or stores your full card number.
- Usage and device data. Basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and interactions with the Site, collected to keep the Site secure and working well.
2. How we use your information
- To let you sign in, save designs, and use the editor;
- To process, produce, and ship your orders;
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- To send order-related messages such as confirmations and shipping updates;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues; and
- To comply with our legal obligations.
3. Third parties we share information with
We share information only as needed to operate Wanderprint, including with the following service providers:
- Stripe— to process payments securely.
- Clerk— to manage account sign-in and authentication.
- Our print & fulfillment provider — to produce your physical print and ship it to your address. This provider receives your design, photos, and shipping details for that purpose.
- Vercel— our hosting provider, which runs the Site infrastructure and stores your uploaded photos.
- Resend— to send transactional emails (order confirmation, download links, and shipping updates) to the email address you provide at checkout.
- Analytics & advertising — where enabled, we use Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) to understand how the Site is used and to measure our advertising. These providers may receive limited event and device data as described under “Cookies” below. To measure ad conversions, when you place an order we may also send Meta a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) version of your email address together with your IP address and browser type, server-to-server.
- Map providers— the map in the editor is served by MapTiler, with terrain data from Mapterhorn; your browser loads map tiles directly from them, so they may receive your IP address and the map areas you view. Route lookups are made from our servers.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Wanderprint, our users, or the public.
4. Data retention
We keep your account, design, and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, fulfill orders, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. Uploaded photos are stored so we can display and print your designs, and are kept until you ask us to remove your data. If you upload photos without creating an account, they are stored only to build and print your poster and are not linked to an identifiable profile; you can ask us to remove specific uploads by contacting support. You may ask us to delete your account and associated data, subject to any records we must keep by law (for example, transaction records retained for tax and accounting).
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@thewanderprint.com. We will respond in line with applicable law.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Site, and understand how it is used (including, where enabled, via Google Analytics and Meta). You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect how the Site works.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the Site or by email.
